2005- current Freelance business specialising in English language communication offering such services as proof-reading, copy editing (both light and substantive), creative copy writing, rewriting services and translation from Dutch to English.

1995- July 1996 Clinical Monitor and Quality Assurance Officer. Boehringher Ingelheim, Alkmaar, NL via MIRAI, Amsterdam, NL. As clinical monitor responsible for the co-ordination of phase II-IV national multi-centre clinical research. This involved preparation, budgeting, implementation, supervision and evaluation of clinical studies and management of related staff and site participants. As quality assurance officer responsible for updating and carrying out in-house training of Standing Operating Procedure (SOPS) as well as assessing in-house compliance with SOPS.

1994-1995 Project Co-ordinator. Cardialysis, B.V., Rotterdam, NL. Responsibilities consisted of time planning and co-ordination for Phase II-IV international multi-centre clinical research. This involved preparation of study materials (e.g. clinical research files (CRFs) and study manuals), implementation and set up of study sites, supervision and training of clinical research assistants (CRAs) and other related study members.

1988-1992 Intensive Care Nurse. Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis, Amsterdam, NL. Main responsibilities included shift charge for 16 bed Cardio-thoracic unit, mentor for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) students and patient care.
